4 Levels Of Racism

Racism happens on multiple levels simultaneously. This chart shows what happens at “micro” (individual) and “macro” (systems) levels. Individuals can demonstrate racism towards other people and groups of people. Big systems (like schools or prisons) can be racist towards various groups of color). When you link systems together (like housing policy and prisons), you see how working together, it is incredibly hard for formerly incarcerated people to get Section 8 housing.
